Okay, I followed the link in this advisory board, and it's all about healing and DPSing, but I can't find anything at all about tanking... This particular Pally is tank-geared more than anything else (though duel-specced for healing). I have no idea what I'm looking for or what I'm supposed to do with him... I need help!

First of all, for tanking, what addons do I need (aside from DBM and Omen)?

Secondly, for healing, what addons do I need?

Thirdly, well, I just don't know where to begin. I'm going to try and entice some guildies to run dungeons with me so I can get a feel for tanking and how I need to set up my action bars and all that... And yes, my very next stop is tankspot to see what I can learn there. So any tips or suggestions are GREATLY appreciated.

And soon, there will be an extra tank/healer available to fill a spot if needed!! (oh, and don't worry, all you awesome tanks and healers, I'm not looking to take over your roles or anything - Cor and I just thought that having an extra tank/healer available might come in handy)

Whenever I'm online Khiv feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I'll help you as much as I possibly can. I'm not the best pally tank out there, but I can give ya a few pointers if ya need them.

I use healbot on my druid Khiv, but im not sure how that's gonna work with a pally. But I love it and couldnt heal without it lol....

Much thanks to Opa and Cracka for tips and tricks and being my first victims... I will be calling on anyone who's brave enough to let me tank for them... And I'm hitting randoms on my own, trying to get the hang of the whole tanking thing... I've got my new rotation down and the rest of my addons loaded. So I should be up to snuff in another year or two.... hehehehe... just kidding... it's going to be at least three...

Seriously, though, I'm getting the hang of it faster than I expected. Just a little directionally challenged in heroics... But that just takes practice. That's the beauty of being a hunter... you just follow the tank and kill stuff... Never really have to pay attention except for what you're killing and how. So there's no need to pay attention to surroundings and direction and all that.

Much love to tanks, it's not the easiest job in the world...

And of course, much love to the healers - for keeping up the people my tanking is trying to get killed....

A good add-on to run with is decursive Khiv. Helps you focus on healing insted of cleansing. I run it while I tank as well in case the healer is not cleansing me. We can cleanse some things that other healers cant so I keep it up all the time.
I highly suggest using PallyPower add-on as well. It saves time in raids and helps you keep track of when the buffs wear off.
I will help you with healing tactics any time. I just started tanking again myself so am in the same boat as you as far as that goes.
